This class makes a great arts enrichment gift to a school, a sunday school class or even a mom's playgroup . The Sprouting Hearts Studio comes to you. Local pottery instructor Laurel Herbert will come to your school and provide the children with an engaging and creative experience with clay. The sensory experiences provided through this squishy, muddy adventure are numerous. They encounter the texture and feel of the clay and enthusiastically reply "It's cold! It's wet and squishy, and it's so heavy!" Clay asks to be poked, pinched, twisted, and rolled. Children develop both fine and major motor skills and see instantly that they have an effect on the clay. Their imagination now has the ability to be expressed in 3-D.
Just look at what our pint sized potters have been making!
